With all the American comic book movies to hit theaters over the last two years, the world is finally going to get a chance to look at what a living, breathing, animi would will look like. Alpha Must Die is the first part of the Modern Day Samurai Trilogy. It focuses on the revenge story of Z who is out to destroy the all-powerful Alpha. Imagined by Jaden Christopher and written by Jaden Christopher and Brett Talbot, the production of Alpha Must Die will begin in mid August. Matt Mullins, who plays one of the lead characters says, “Alpha Must Die is one of the best and well thought out scripts I have read in memory.”

The next generation of Sideswipe performers had a chance to show their stuff this last week for the Skecher American Product release. The kids lit up the stage and finished to a standing ovation pushing, once again, the bar for the next generation of Sport Karate Athletes. Like Booboo Stuart and Leo Howard did five years ago after the Macy’s Passport show, it is going to be fun to see which kids take their skills to the big screen.

Matt Mullins and Deena Dill at Release Party in Hollywood

The whole world knows the MK 9 is being released next Tuesday April 19th, but tonight at 12:01am check out the reboot of the Mortal Kombat live action series on machinima.com

Starting this summer Leo will be part of the high energy action comedy called Kickin It. Summary: Located in a strip mall, the Bobby Wasabi Martial Arts Academy is in danger of closing until Sensei Rudy (Jason Earles) recruits Jack (Howard), the only person who can restore glory to Bobby Wasabi and vanquish their bitter rival, The Golden Dragon.

Second, you’ll now see the RSS icon in the footer as well – this gives you one more way to keep up with the latest Sideswipe news. Over the last few months, Sideswipe has been on the road performing in shows all around the world! Starting in India, Sideswipe’s Craig Henningsen performed for Samsung’s release of their new 3D Televisions. Craig then teamed up with Brendon Huor and went straight to Guatemala to do three days of seminars. They were joined by the rest of the team in Guam one week later to do performances for the Navy and Marines stationed on the island. The tour ended in Washington, DC as the team opened a convention for Adam West.

Coming soon! Be sure to be on the look out for Leo Howard, starring as the young Conan the Barbarian. Leo shot for two months in Romania, where he was trained to sword fight, duck jumping horses and get dirty… a lot. Congratulations, Leo, on your continued success in Hollywood.

The film hits theaters on August 19, 2011.

There’s a new live-action thrill ride coming to the CW Saturday mornings, and you’ll get a full episode preview on December 13, 2008 to build anticipation for its January release. Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight descends from the wildly popular Japanese Kamen Rider films and TV series, a franchise that originated 35 years ago. Back in 1995, WBNX aired Masked Rider, the first American adaptation loosely based on the Kamen saga – but this new adventure is light-years superior. For starters, one of the main stars is charismatic Matt Mullins, a 5-time Kickboxing/Karate World Champion. Matt and a partner actually created the martial arts style/phenomenon known globally as XMA, or Extreme Martial Arts. He’s flanked by Disney favorite Stephen Lunsford and pop singer/actress Marisa Lauren.

At first glance, Kamen Rider may seem like another morphing fantasy show for teens, but there’s an ongoing mystery, a creepy shape shifting villain (William O’Leary), and some of the best-choreographed action scenes and special-effects you’ll see on weekly television.

Well known for his work in the Discovery Channel award-winning documentary Xtreme Martial Arts, Matt Mullins has been performing in TV, film and live productions for the last five years. With the recent release of the popular cult film Adventures of Johnny Tao and his supporting role in the upcoming Blood & Bone, Matt Mullins is fast gaining recognition as an exciting action star. Matt still performs live with his performance team Sideswipe around the world. After finishing in the final 5 on last season’s America’s Got Talent, Sideswipe has signed a multi-million dollar deal to perform permanently inside the Caesar’s Palace Hotel in Las Vegas.

Luke Broadlick recently appeared in a guest starring role alongside Keke Palmer in an episode of Nickelodeon’s True Jackson, VP called “Ryan On Wheels.” Congratulations, Luke!

Since the beginning of the year, Sideswipe has been on the move performing all over the world! February started with a full Theatricks performance at Lake County University in Illinois, University of Finlay in Ohio and University of Minnesota. A week later, Sideswipe headed off to Dallas to perform for the Dallas Mavericks and then straight to Japan for a five-city tour to perform for Navy and Marine service men and women. The team returned to the states at the beginning of May and performed at the benefit for Los Angeles children’s hospital and the Cure Autism Walk at the Rose Bowl. With summer starting, performances show no signs of slowing down and the team will be at the AKA camps and the AKA Grand Nationals in June.
