Sharkey's Karate Studio, along with Sideswipe Performance Team, is once again raising the standard for the top sport karate training camps in the country. Are you ready to train with the stars from Sideswipe Performance Team? Be prepared for the Sharkey's Karate/Sideswipe Winter Camp XI – where we teach you to own it!

Our Goal

The goal of the Winter Camp is to have all participants leave the camp feeling like they have learned something new – and had a great time doing it. Now that the holiday break is here, it is time to jump start everyone's engines and prepare for the new competition season. This camp is used as a launching pad for competitors to get a jump on their competition for the next year. The campers will have the opportunity to learn new forms (weapons, traditional, Extreme and musical) and will work on a huge array of fighting drills and techniques. Our world champion instructors will also help the campers tailor their forms to meet their full potential. Throughout the week, campers will experience and learn modern conditioning and training drills that will help them reach new levels.

World Champion Instructors

Matthew Mullins
Blazing across the globe, Matt and the Sideswipe Performance Team have taken the world by storm! Coming off of their success on America's Got Talent and a recent tour of entertaining American troops in Europe, Matt will teach campers the proper way to train for open form routines. The campers will also run through a high energy forms and weapons training session and learn to utilize basics, energy, and focus to make their forms explode with life.

Craig Henningsen
As a member of Sideswipe, Craig is one of the most inspiring young men on the circuit today. Innovation and creativity are two words that separate Craig from every competitor. Craig will be on hand to help every camper add the specific details every competitor needs to be the best.

Brendon Huor
As a member of Sideswipe, team captain of Team AKA, and a world class competitor on the AKA and NASKA circuits, Brendon brings his unique training background of wushu, taekwondo and karate to the camp. Brendon excels in choreography and extreme martial arts making him a sought out private instructor on the competition circuit.

Donald Mills
A new member of the Sideswipe team, Donald excels in the nunchucks and sparring. He has won world titles in continuous sparring and is co-captain of Team AKA. His talents have helped win the 2007 ISKA World Champion Demo Team title.

Seth Austin
Seth is one of the go-to people on the circuit today for extreme sword instruction. Along with fellow Sideswipe/Team AKA members Brendon Huor and Donald Mills, Seth was asked to be part of Team AKA's elite competition Demo Team, which won the ISKA US Open Team Demo World Title and is still the defending champion. His work with Sideswipe, has had him traveling all over the United States, Guam, Cuba, Turkey, Italy, Spain, England and Greece.
